Recently, the 2023 China Listed Companies Forum, jointly organized by Shanghai Committee of China Democratic National Construction Association (CDNCA), Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shenzhen Stock Exchange, ALLBright Law Offices, and ZUFE, was held in Shanghai. The forum was themed on "Cultivating and Strengthening Strategic Emerging Industries and Enhancing the Modernization Level of the Industrial System". Over 600 participants attended the forum, including Li Shijie, a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the CPPCC and vice chairman of the Central Committee of CDNCA, Zhou Hanmin, a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the CPPCC and chairman of the Think Tank Committee of the Forum for China's Listed Companies (FCLC), Song Hai, chairman of the Academic Committee of the FCLC, Li Yang, director of the National Institution for Finance & Development (NIFD) and a member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Li Jinchang, secretary of ZUFE's Party Committee, as well as guests and representatives from the securities regulatory authorities, domestic and international academia, numerous listed and to-be-listed companies.
In his speech, Li Jinchang introduced ZUFE briefly and expressed his hope to take this forum as an opportunity to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with listed and unlisted companies, universities and all sectors of society, so as to make a greater contribution to the development of China's listed companies and financial reform and innovation.
Li Yang congratulated the convening of the forum and looked forward to further deepening exchanges and cooperation with all sectors of society through this forum and enhancing its constructive role in China's capital market.
Li Shijie, Zhou Hanmin, Zhao Shanxue, deputy director of the Listed Companies Supervision Department of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, Wang Bo, deputy general manager of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Zhang Mei, deputy general manager of the Beijing Stock Exchange, Fu Yan, deputy director of the Listed Companies Supervision Committee of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Yang Yanjing, partner of ALLBright Law Offices, and Shao Yu, chief economist of Orient Securities, delivered keynote speeches.
At the forum, Zhang Xiaohong, chairman of the FCLC, director of the China Academy of Financial Research at ZUFE, and senior partner of ALLBright Law Offices, released the 2023 China Listed Companies Comprehensive Competitiveness Ranking Evaluation Report and the report on Economic Situation Analysis. Based on the macroeconomic trend at home and abroad, the reports form a comprehensive competitiveness evaluation system through systematically analyzing, comparing, calculating various indicators of China's listed companies, and adopting scientific research methods.
The selection of the awards of the forum followed the principles of openness and fairness. Based on the research findings from the China Listed Companies Comprehensive Competitiveness Ranking Evaluation Report, and a combination of industry institutions and expert analysis with comprehensive objective data of enterprises, 8 Innovation Awards, 9 Public Welfare Awards, 21 Gold Medal Secretary Awards, and 11 Gold Medal CFO Awards were eventually selected.
The FCLC has been successfully held for twelve sessions, aiming at optimizing the governance structures of listed companies and driving their high-quality development comprehensively. The forum is dedicated to creating a platform that fosters equal dialogues and exchanges of experience among entrepreneurs, economists, and regulatory authorities, so as to play a leading role in the development of China's listed companies and actively contributes to the overall progress of the capital market.
