On May 16, the university held the 2025 working conference on international student education and a promotion meeting for the Quality Accreditation for International Students in China. Zheng Yali, Vice President, presided over the meeting. Heads of relevant functional departments and secondary colleges attended the meeting.

Zheng Yali put forward three requirements regarding international student education and quality accreditation work:
First, the entire university must work as one team to jointly advance international student education. When formulating policies, organizing activities, arranging work, and promoting talent cultivation reforms, all departments and colleges must fully consider international students and continuously improve the level of integrated management for international students.
Second, operations must be conducted with clear roadmaps, benchmarking against standards to jointly prepare for quality accreditation work including self-assessment and self-rectification. Efforts should amplify the highlights and distinctive features, making the bright spots brighter and the distinctive features more distinctive.
Third, a strong bottom-line awareness must be established, with firm adherence to safety baselines. The university must strengthen the smart and grid-based security management system, enhance education and management of the international student population, and ensure the safety of international student education.

At the meeting, Xia Junsuo, an expert on quality accreditation for international
students, was invited to deliver a thematic guidance report. The head of the School of International Education and Studies reported on the progress of the university’s international student education and quality accreditation work.
