On September 19, the Hangzhou Asian Games and Asian Para Games Volunteers Commencement Ceremony was held at ZUFE. Li Jinchang, secretary of ZUFE's Party Committee, attended the ceremony and announced the commencement. Xu Xiaodong, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, delivered a mobilization speech. Dong Jincai, a member of the Party Committee and vice president, as well as relevant leaders of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee, attended the ceremony and awarded the flags. Heads of relevant functional departments of the university, and heads of student affairs and the secretaries of the Youth League Committee of each college, attended the ceremony as well.

In his mobilization speech, Xu Xiaodong put forward a three-point proposal at the ceremony. First, the volunteers should focus on the country's top priorities, remember the trust placed on them, and demonstrate the power of youth in serving the Games. Second, the volunteers should fulfill their youthful vows, showcasing their enthusiasm and selfless dedication, and living their youth to the fullest in serving the Asian Games. Third, they should better present China to the world through their confidence and self-improvement, and serve as a youth ambassador in the "important window".
Jiang Lina, deputy secretary of ZUFE's Youth League Committee (provisional post) and deputy director of Personnel/Volunteers Department at the Binjiang Gymnasium, introduced the information of the "university's volunteers" service for the Asian Games. Chen Wei, the volunteer leader of the arrival and departure team and the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Accounting, as well as Xiang Surui, a volunteer at the Binjiang Gymnasium and student of the School of Accounting, made statements as representatives of teachers and students.
In order to make preparations for the two "Asian Games", the university had provided over 800 volunteer services in four "Charming Hangzhou" test games from April to June this year, recording nearly 80,000 service hours. Among them, two tests were held at the Binjiang Gymnasium, witnessing dedicated services made by the diligent volunteers. With their perseverance, volunteers of the arrival and departure service performed remarkable pick-up and drop-off service at the international testing games. Volunteers of the training ground on the campus were also ready to provide the best services for athletes who came for training.
"We are ready for the Hangzhou Asian Games!" As of now, 845 volunteers of the university are ready for the Asian Games. We believe that they will provide meticulous services during the Games with first-class service quality, level and discipline. Through standardized and professional services provided for the upcoming sports and cultural event, the volunteers will showcase the spirit of ZUFE's youth to Asia and the world.
