ZUFE Holds the 3rd National Collegiate Digital Trade Comprehensive Ability Competition & the 1st Silk Road E-Commerce Innovation Final

On September 28, ZUFE held the 3rd National Collegiate Digital Trade Comprehensive Ability Competition and the national final of the 1st Silk Road E-commerce Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for International Students in China at Xiasha campus. Qiu Yunqing, a member of the Standing Committee of Zhejiang Provincial People’s Congress and vice chairman of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party; Zheng Yali, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and vice president of ZUFE; and Yi Jian’an, secretary general of the National Collegiate Digital Trade Comprehensive Ability Competition, were invited to the opening ceremony of the event.

Zheng Yali stated that the competition, themed “Digital Technology, Digital Services, and Digital Trade,” provided a platform for international students in China to showcase their talents and creativity. It was not only a valuable opportunity for them to share their stories in learning and entrepreneurship in Chinese but also a precious chance for cultural exchange. She encouraged all participants to seize the opportunity with exploration and innovation to demonstrate their expertise in digital trade and serve as cultural bridges and ambassadors of friendship between China and foreign countries.

Qiu Yunqing said that the inaugural Silk Road E-commerce Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for International Students in China promoted the personal growth of international students in China and contributed to the development of Zhejiang’s digital trade, fostering a mutually beneficial dynamic. He encouraged international students to perform their best abilities, styles, and entrepreneurship, contributing to a new chapter of Zhejiang’s development in the era of Chinese modernization.

This final included a total of 59 teams from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Wuhan University, Central South University, the University of International Business and Economics, Donghua University, and other institutions. It concluded with 9 teams wining first prizes, 20 teams securing second prizes, and 30 teams receiving third prizes. ZUFE’s two international student teams claimed first prizes, while another team won a second prize. Additionally, Wang Bolin and Chen Sihan, two faculty members of ZUFE, were honored with the Outstanding Mentor Award.

This event was jointly organized by the China Academy of Digital Trade of Zhejiang University and the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the China Zhi Gong Party. It was co-hosted by the School of International Education and Studies and the School of Economics of ZUFE and the Zhejiang-Africa Service Center.
