On April 29, the Employment and Internship Fair for International Students of Xiasha Higher Education Park was successfully held on the first floor of the Cultural Center at ZUFE. Guided by the Foreign Students Education Management Branch of the Zhejiang Province Association for Higher Education and jointly organized by the Digital Trade Talent and Intelligence Cooperation Committee of the Global Digital Trade Expo, ZUFE and multiple universities, the event attracted over 40 renowned enterprises—including Tiansheng Heavy Industry (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd., Sunon-China Group Co., Ltd., Zhejiang ZHINK Group Co., Ltd., and Hangzhou Best Suppliers Foreign Trade Group Co., Ltd.—along with more than 300 international students. Du Jian, First-Level Researcher of the International Exchange and Cooperation Division of the Department of Education of Zhejiang Province, Ye Ying, Director of the Digital Trade Talent and Intelligence Cooperation Committee, Zheng Yali, Vice President of ZUFE, and leaders from the international education schools of several sister universities attended the event.
In her opening remarks, Vice President Zheng Yali outlined ZUFE’s efforts to deepen industry-education integration and cultivate outstanding international talent with an entrepreneurial mindset through two-way exchanges featuring talent introduction and overseas development. She emphasized that industry-education integration and university-enterprise cooperation are essential pathways for international student education in China. Through in-depth inter-university collaboration and jointly hosting employment and internship fairs, ZUFE can offer international students more opportunities for internship and entrepreneurship. Meanwhile, it helps enterprises recruit talents with solid multilingual skills and cross-cultural competence, achieving mutual empowerment for both sides.

The atmosphere at the fair was vibrant. International students circulated among enterprise booths with resumes in hand, engaging in one-on-one consultations with recruiters on job requirements and career prospects. Some employers even set up on-the-spot interviews, assessing students’ professional competencies and comprehensive literacy through simulated workplace scenarios. Many students noted that the direct engagement with enterprises gave them greater exposure to Hangzhou-based companies and broadened their access to employment, internships, and innovation and entrepreneurship.
During the fair, Associate Professor Zheng Jiaxing from the School of Public Finance and Taxation delivered a lecture titled “International Tax Avoidance Risks and Response Strategies for New-Format Enterprises in the New Economy,” offering insights to support Zhejiang enterprises in going global. Over 30 enterprise representatives attended the lecture and participated in discussions.
Jointly organized with industry associations and multiple universities, this employment and internship fair represents ZUFE’s proactive effort to advance industry-education integration in the cultivation of international talent.
