On April 24, the 2026 “Dream Trip in Zhejiang” Chinese Talent Showcase for International Students concluded successfully. Centered on the theme “"Dream Trip in Zhejiang": Splendor in the Cloud,” this year’s event brought together international students from more than 20 universities across Zhejiang, who showcased the unique charm of Chinese culture and the dynamic spirit of Zhejiang’s development through diverse artistic performances.
Wang Xinlei, a Russian international student from our university, served as one of the hosts. Meanwhile, 17 international students from countries including Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Nigeria, and Morocco jointly presented the stage drama “Cross-border Live-stream Studio”. Focusing on social issues such as the digital economy and cross-border e-commerce, the performance used a live-stream setting to portray the vibrant image of Zhejiang through the eyes of international students.
An award ceremony for the “Dreaming in Zhejiang, Singing for the Future” Chinese Singing Competition for International Students in Zhejiang was also held during the showcase. Tania, an Indonesian student from our university, and Daiyu, a student from Kazakhstan, both won third prizes.
As part of the “"Dream Trip in Zhejiang"” series of events, participating international students also visited the Zhejiang Provincial Education Base for International Students, the China Cooperation Center for BRICS Special Economic Zones, and Dongsha Lake Park. During the visits, the students gained deeper insight into Zhejiang’s economic development and ecological civilization initiatives, while enhancing friendship and cultural understanding through international exchange.
The 2026 “"Dream Trip in Zhejiang"” Chinese Talent Showcase for International Students was jointly organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, the Information Office of the Zhejiang Provincial Government, the Foreign Affairs Office of the Zhejiang Provincial Government, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, and Zhejiang Radio and Television Group. The event was hosted by Hangzhou Dianzi University and Zhejiang TV Science, Education and Film Channel.
As an annual cultural brand event in Zhejiang, “"Dream Trip in Zhejiang"” has provided international students with a platform to experience China and showcase their talents for 19 consecutive years. Through the perspectives of international students, the event vividly presents China’s development and Zhejiang’s local culture, fostering their affinity with China and Zhejiang while promoting mutual learning and exchanges among civilizations.
