1. Business Management 

About the Program

The program of Master of Business Management aims to cultivate students who master the theory of economics and management, the method to research modern business management and the abilities to do business data analysis. The students have access to internships in a large amount of enterprises.

The program has a well-structured and high-quality academic staff team possessing remarkable teaching and research potentials. There are 8 professors and 20 associate professors. 80% of the faculty have PhD degree and 50% have overseas background. There are also visiting scholars from US and Canada who are intensively involved in delivering the courses of economics and management.

Main Courses

Intermediate Microeconomics, Business Statistics and Analysis, Strategic Management: Theory and Method, Marketing Management: Theory and Method, Corporate Finance, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.


2. International Trade Master Program

About the Program

The master of international trade program aims to train students to master international trade theory and research methods, and to have the ability to engage in transnational business management. Students can practice in international enterprises and relevant government departments.

The school has a reasonable structure and high quality teachers with significant teaching and research potential. At present, there are 3 professors and 8 associate professors, of which 80% have doctoral degrees. 60% of the teachers in this major have overseas experience. There are also some visiting scholars from the United States, the United Kingdom, and France, who actively participate in the teaching of international economics or multinational enterprise management courses.

Main Courses

Intermediate microeconomics, Intermediate macroeconomics, Mathematical statistics, Intermediate econometrics, Advanced international trade theory, Multinational company theory.


3. International Law

About the Program

The Program of Master of International Law (LL.M.) aims to cultivate students who seek a comprehensive understanding of international law, gain an inside view of legal rules on international trade, investment, intellectual property and arbitration, and apply their theoretical knowledge in legal practice. The students may study with domestic classmates in the Chinese language and have access to valuable internships in law firms and other legal institutions in China.

The program is well-structured and has a high-quality academic staff team possessing remarkable teaching and research potential. There are 4 professors and 5 associate professors, 100% of whom hold PhD degrees. 80% of the faculty members of this major have overseas experience.

Jurisprudence, International Economic Law, Private International Law, International Trade Law, International Investment Law, International Intellectual Property Law, International Arbitration and Dispute Settlement, Legal Negotiation, Legal Writing.


4. Juris Master (LL.M) in Chinese Law

About the Program

The Program of Master of Chinese Law (LL.M.) aims to cultivate students who seek a comprehensive understanding of Chinese law, gain an inside view of civil law, commercial law and international economic law, and apply their theoretical knowledge in legal practice. The students have access to valuable internships in law firms and other legal institutions in China.

The program is well-structured and has a high-quality academic staff team possessing remarkable teaching and research potential. There are 10 professors and 15 associate professors, 100% of whom hold PhD degrees. 50% of the faculty members of this major have overseas experience.

5. English Language and Literature / Translation Studies  

About the Program

The aim of this postgraduate program is to cultivate talents with a sense of innovation, and international perspective, strong practical skills, and independent research ability, who have a comprehensive understanding of western literary approaches, a solid theoretical foundation in literary criticism, a good grasp of relevant research methods and tools, and a rigorous attitude towards scientific studies.

Students can draw on the resources of the Institute of Corpus and Interdisciplinary Studies to acquire the main approaches to corpus-based literary research, which emphasizes the analysis of literary language and the laws of literary creation on the basis of observations and statistics on a large corpus of literature, the analysis of common features such as linguistic features and poetic traditions, as well as the study of individual features such as literary creativity and authorial style.

The School of Foreign Languages has 10 professors and 38 associate professors. Among our faculty members, 30 hold Ph.D. degrees, and 25 are Master Candidate Supervisors. In the past five years, they have published nearly 500 academic papers in journals such as Applied Linguistics, Journal of Pragmatics, Lingua, System, Language Sciences, Meta, Foreign Language Education & Research, Foreign Literature Review, Zhongguo Yuwen (Studies of the Chinese Language), Chinese Translators Journal, Foreign Literature Studies, Journal of Foreign Languages, Modern Foreign Languages, Contemporary Linguistics, and other top academic journals at home and abroad. Concurrently, our research has been enhanced by more than 100 research projects at all levels. In addition, more than 20 academic books (or translated books) have been published.

6. Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL)

About the Program

The master Program in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL) aims to cultivate high-level, applicable, and versatile talents who can adapt to the task of Chinese language international promotion and are competent to use Chinese as a second language or for foreign language teaching purposes. Recipients of the MTCSOL degree should have a solid cultural background in Chinese language which can be used as a second language or as a skill for foreign language teaching, a higher level of foreign language understanding, and intercultural communicative capability.

The program is well-structured and has a high-quality academic staff team possessing remarkable teaching and research potential. There are 11 professors and 11 associate professors, 100% of whom hold PhD degrees. 95% of the faculty members of this major have overseas experience. There are also some visiting scholars from the U.S., France, and Japan who are intensively involved in Teaching Chinese-related courses.

7. Economic Statistics

About the Program

The Master’s program in Economic Statistics provides a modern, comprehensive education in statistical theory, methods, and practice, focusing on data analysis skills in order to prepare graduates for careers as applied statisticians in industry, government, or business, as well as those interested in bridging to Ph.D. studies in statistics and related areas.
