Recently, according to the latest data released by Clarivate Analytics Essential Science Indicators (ESI), the Engineering discipline of ZUFE has once again ranked in the top 1% of the global ESI, an increase of 99 from the previous ranking.
ESI, as an in-depth analytical research tool, updated and published every two months, is a basic analysis and evaluation tool, launched by the world-renowned academic information publisher- the Institute of Scientific Information (ISI) in 2001, to measure scientific research performance and track scientific development trends. It is a metrological analysis database based on more than 10 million literature records of more than 12,000 academic journals collected by the Web of Science (SCI/SSCI) of Clarivate Analytics, offering statistics and rankings of scientific research performance of countries, institutions and journals in 22 disciplines. ESI has become one of the most important evaluation tools, commonly used for evaluating the international academic level and influence of universities, academic institutions, and countries/regions around the world.
