Recently, the 44th International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Asian Regional Competition (Nanchang) was held at Jiangxi Normal University. After keen competition, students of ZUFE won one gold award and two silver awards.
The Competition attracted 332 teams from 199 colleges and universities, including Peking University and Tsinghua University. The Competition is entered in teams of three, and team members are required to solve 10 or more complex practical programming problems within the allotted 5 hours. The Competition was all in English and involved a wide range of knowledge, testing the contestants' ability of problem analysis, algorithm implementation, programming under limited time and high pressure, and teamwork.
The ICPC is organized by the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), an authoritative organization with a long history in the international computer industry. It is recognized as the world’s largest, highest level, and international collegiate programming contest with the largest number of participants. It aims to enable college students to fully demonstrate their ability to analyze and solve problems through computers, and is known as the "Olympic" competition in the IT industry.
