Recently, results of the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) global unified examination in December 2018 were released. Keying Li, a student of Class ACCA 1702 from the School of Accounting, outperformed in the examination, achieving the highest mark worldwide in Taxation.
ACCA is known for cultivating international senior accountants and financial management experts. Its high-quality curriculum, strict examination requirements, and high-level examination arrangements have won praise from the United Nations and a large number of international organizations. ACCA is also praised by many multinational companies and professional institutions and is hailed as the “MBA Programmes for Students Majoring in Accounting”.
In 2004, ZUFE’s School of Accounting took the lead in opening ACCA-oriented courses in China, introducing ACCA professional examinations courses into undergraduate teaching, and exploring a new model of personnel training that combines the internationalization and professional development of university education of Accounting. In addition, by relying on the talent training plans such as “Project of Emerging Special Majors (International Specialties) of Provincial General Universities” and “the 13th Five-Year Plan of Provincial Competitive Majors (Accounting),” the School aimed to cultivate senior accountants equipped with international vision, international know-how, as well as international ability to practice and adapt to the international market, emphasizing long-term effectiveness, sustainability and connotation in cultivating international accounting talents. According to more than ten years tracking statistics, ACCA program graduates have shown typical characteristics such as high comprehensive quality, high-level employment, and outstanding career development.
