Recently, the research work group of the College Competition Evaluation and Management System of China Association of Higher Education (CAHE) released the 2020 national competition ranking list for college students. ZUFE ranked 192nd in the 2012-2020 National Competition Ranking List (undergraduate programs) and seventh in domestic colleges and universities of humanities and social sciences. Obviously, ZUFE has been hurtling up its rankings.

This year's Competition Ranking List for college students follows the principles of fairness, impartiality, and transparency, adhering to the the work threads of "quality-oriented and prudent advancement," with the selection of 57 competitions included in this ranking list among numerous high-level competitions, such as the China College Students’ “Internet +” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and the "Challenge Cup." Based on the data from contributions of universities regarding obtained awards, organization and research in competitions, it provides service-oriented reference information for colleges and universities to improve the quality of talent training, which has also become one of the important standards for testing the quality of innovative talent nurturing in higher education institutions.

In recent years, ZUFE has been continuously deepening its education and teaching reform, taking part in competitions in various disciplines as the starting point and insisting on promoting learning, teaching, reform, and innovation by means of competitions, encouraging teachers and students to participate in diversified high-level and high-quality innovation and entrepreneurship competitions and subject contests, and laying a solid foundation for training application-oriented, compound, innovative, and entrepreneurial high-quality talents.
