On April 24, the 4th China Economist Forum was held at ZUFE. More than 600 professionals participated in this forum, including Guoxian Zhu, member of the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and minister of the Publicity Department of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee, Peiyong Gao, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), member academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and vice chairman of Sun Yefang Economic Science Foundation, Fulin Chi, dean of China (Hainan) Reform and Development Research Institute, Zhengwen Zhang, president of the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (UCASS), Shihao Sheng, deputy minister of the Publicity Department of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee and chairman of the Zhejiang Federation of Humanities and Social Sciences Circles (ZJFHSSC), Genfang Chen, secretary of the Party Committee and director of the Department of Education of Zhejiang Province, Huawei Guo, secretary of the Party Group of ZJFHSSC and vice chairman of ZJFHSSC, Bin Zhang, vice president of UCASS, Xianhai Huang, vice president of Zhejiang University, Ting Liu, deputy director of the Academic Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial Government Advisory Committee and former president of Zhejiang Development and Planning Institute, representatives from Sun Yefang Economic Science Foundation and the circles of business, press, and publishing, together with all members of the school leadership team, as well as representatives of teachers, students, and alumni. The opening ceremony of the event was presided over by the principal Xiaomin Zhong, while the interviews on this forum and keynote reports were hosted by the two vice presidents, Kuiquan Wang and Yongyou Li, respectively.

Keynote Report by Gao Peiyong
Keynote reports were made by six experts, including Mr. Gao, Mr. Chi, Mr. Zhang, Mr. Sheng, Mr. Huang, and Mr. Liu, respectively focused on the topics of "building a new development pattern requiring coordinated development and safety," "consumption-oriented economic transformation-a major issue for the establishment of a ‘dual circulation’ development pattern in which domestic economic cycle plays a leading role while international economic cycle remains its extension and supplement," "the establishment of the local taxation system during the 14th Five-Year-Plan period," "the new pattern of development and improvement of the national innovation system," "the reconstruction of the global industrial chain and the building of a new ‘dual circulation’ development pattern," and "the basic directions of reform and development in the 14th Five-Year period."

Some experts present were interviewed, such as Mr. Chi, Mr. Zhang, Guoda Gu, director of China and Global Economic Policy Research Center of Zhejiang University and president of the Zhejiang Economic Association, Wenlin Fu, deputy dean of the School of Public Economics and Administration of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Chouyong Chen, former deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Hangzhou Dianzi University and director of the Information Development Research Institute of Zhejiang Province, Guanhua Xu, chairman of Zhejiang Yiheng Investment Management Co., Ltd., Qiang Shen, deputy general manager of Longfor Group Zhejiang Branch, Professor Weiwei Ye from ZUFE's School of Public Administration, Professor Yaojia Tang from the School of Economics, etc., who centered around topics such as the "dual circulation development and fiscal and taxation policies", and "technological innovation and financial policies."

During this forum, Xiaohe Xue, Secretary General of the Sun Yefang Economic Science Foundation, and winners of the Sun Yefang Economic Science Award, Mr. Chi, Mr. Fu, and Junhao Wang, presented signature masterpieces to the Archives Hall, and President Xiaomin Zhong issued collection certificates to the donors on behalf of the university. Subsequently, the Teaching and Research Office for "Sun Yefang Economic Science Award and China's Economic Development" was unveiled, and the ceremony of issuing certificates for consultants of the general course Sun Yefang Economic Science Award and China's Economic Development was held.

The China Economist Forum was co-sponsored by Zhejiang Federation of Humanities and Social Sciences Circles, Sun Yefang Economic Science Foundation, and ZUFE, with the theme of "New Era and New Paradigm: Prospects for China’s Economy in the 14th Five-Year Plan," aiming to build a domestic high-level platform for academic exchanges to conduct in-depth discussions on frontier issues of China's economic and social development in order to sort out and summarize the practical experience of local reforms. The selection of topics for this forum focused on the spirit of the Central Economic Work Conference and economic issues of the National Two Sessions, which brought together well-known experts and scholars at home and abroad to comb through economic trends, analyze practical problems, guide the direction of development, and provide suggestions for comprehensively deepening the reform of the economic system. Meanwhile, this forum received follow-up reports from all platforms of Guangming Online, which also conducted exclusive interviews with twelve participating experts and scholars.
