Several days ago, the curtain of the 2021 Global Business Challenge North Asia (2021 GBC) final opened in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. After fierce contention, the Sigma∑ team, composed of instructors Yan Lu, Kaixia Shi, Fang Liu, Ruohui Ye and students Yongyi Wu, Yutao Jin, Zilu Wang and Zeying Wang from ZUFE's School of Accounting, won the third prize in the North Asia Final.

This competition was a splendid event, drawing over 180,000 viewers from home and abroad to watch online. The contest included two sections: case analysis and on-the-spot Q&A. In the case analysis session, contestants were required to expound in English the corporate environment given in this case, consider disruptive technologies in the context of big data, make strategic plans for the company, and thus set forth the improvements to the challenges confronted by the company. During the on-site Q＆A session, judges asked questions based on the contents of the participants' PPT slides, which demonstrated their sophisticated professional and practical abilities.

The 2021 GBC is a top international financial event for undergraduates from all over the world initiated by the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA|CIMA), with the difficulty of its cases equivalent the actual CIMA examination, aiming to discover and cultivate the talent for business in university students, to grasp the essence of business, and thus to be more competent in the workplace in the near future. More importantly, it hopes to spot more potential business leaders who can lead the way in social development.
