On June 27, Mr. Kailat Klimbetov, former chairman of the Astana International Financial Center and advisor to the president of the Kazakhstan Free Holding Group, visited the university. The Vice President Li Zhanrong met with the visiting guests.
Li Zhanrong said that recent years had witnessed an enhanced cooperation on education with Kazakhstan, and agreements were signed with more than 10 Kazakh universities and institutions, including Eurasian University and Astana International Financial Center. He also said that the China-Kazakhstan Economic and Social Research Forum had been held for five consecutive years, actively promoting the cooperation between experts and scholars of China and Kazakhstan in economic, financial and social fields. Kailat Klimbetov said that there were broad prospects for collaboration between Kazakh and Chinese enterprises in fields such as financial services and asset management, and he expected the two sides could jointly train more high-level professionals in fintech, securities and e-commerce.
Heads of the International Department, the School of International Education and Studies, the Kazakhstan Economic and Social Research Center, and the China Academy of Financial Research participated in this activity.
