On April 10, a delegation from Bangor University, including Paul van Gardingen, the vice-chancellor, and Sam Jackson-Royal, director of International Affairs, visited ZUFE. They were welcomed by Zhong Xiaomin, deputy secretary of ZUFE's Party Committee and president of ZUFE, along with Li Zhanrong, vice president of ZUFE and heads of the International Office and the School of Finance.
Zhong Xiaomin, on behalf of ZUFE, extended a warm welcome to the visiting guests. He highly affirmed the achievements made in the joint undergraduate program in finance between the two universities, emphasizing the strong foundation of collaboration and expressing a desire to further enhance teacher and student exchanges, and research collaboration. He also looked forward to jointly expanding Sino-foreign educational cooperation programs in fields such as artificial intelligence, data science, and digital economics.
Paul Van Gardingen reviewed the history of collaboration between the two universities and expressed his eagerness to continue promoting projects involving student exchanges, joint graduate education, and collaborative research. Also, he emphasized the shared goal of creating a sustainable future.
During their visit, the delegation also visited the exhibition of achievements in Sino-British collaborative programs, the School of Finance's history museum, and the mock banking training base. They also had a discussion with representatives of the School of Finance’s teachers and students.
