On December 4, a delegation from Gumilyov Eurasian National University (ENU) in Kazakhstan visited ZUFE. Vice President Zheng Yali met with the visiting guests.
Zheng Yali extended a warm welcome to the delegation and introduced ZUFE's general information, characteristics, and recent achievements in education. She stated that since the establishment of the formal partnership between the two universities in 2018, they have made certain achievements. This year celebrates the tenth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, and the visit of ENU is of great significance for the future development of the two universities. She also expected that both sides would develop more pragmatic, innovative, and far-reaching exchanges and cooperation in talent cultivation, scientific research, and other aspects, and explore cooperation models for projects such as the "Silk Road College" and the "Chinese Workshop".
Adak Beisenbay, Head of the delegation from ENU, briefly introduced the education and ranking of ENU. He stated that the collaboration with ZUFE over the past five years has been quite effective, building a bridge for economic and cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and Kazakhstan. He also expected that both sides could further develop projects such as joint double-degree talent cultivation, joint journal publication, and teacher and student exchanges.
Following the meeting, the delegation had in-depth discussions with the heads of our relevant schools on joint talent training in fields such as finance, business administration, international economics and trade, and applied statistics. They also visited campus facilities such as the Central Asian Research Institute, the Library of Nobel Prize Collections in Economics, and the Library of Sun Yefang Economics Science Prize.
Heads of the International Office, the School of International Education and Studies, the Central Asian Research Institute, the Graduate School, the School of Finance, the School of Business, the School of Economics, and the School of Data Sciences were present at the event.
