From March 12 to 17, Xu Xiaodong, Vice Secretary of the CPC Committee of ZUFE, led a delegation to visit the University of Toledo (UT), Johns Hopkins University (JHU), and Columbia University in the United States. The delegation also connected with ZUFE's faculty, students, and alumni engaging in academic activities in the U.S. Accompanying Xu were representatives from the Office of Research Affairs, Office of Social Cooperation, International Office, and the School of Management.

The delegation was warmly greeted by Scott Molitor, Executive Vice President and Provost of the UT. Xu shared latest developments at ZUFE and highlighted the achievements of the Sino-American undergraduate program in marketing. He expressed his eagerness to bolster current partnerships and delve into more substantial and higher-level cooperation. Additionally, Xu extended a heartfelt invitation to Molitor to attend the ZUFE's upcoming 50th-anniversary celebration. In response, Molitor commended the success of the joint education program and affirmed his commitment to fostering ongoing collaboration between the two sides, welcoming more ZUFE’s faculty and students to visit and study in the U.S.

The delegation also engaged in in-depth discussions with Anne Balazs, Dean of the School of Business at UT, and Terribeth Gordon-Moore, Senior Associate Dean. Both sides presented their respective majors and disciplines, delved into specific aspects of talent cultivation programs, and explored deeper exchanges in joint master's and doctoral cultivation initiatives.

During their visit to the UT, the two sides jointly hosted a seminar titled "Digitalization and Sustainable Development in New Business Talent Cultivation", which facilitated comprehensive exchanges on innovative methods and nurturing modes of business talent in the digital era.

The delegation also made a special visit to meet with ZUFE's faculty and students studying and visiting in the U.S., showing interest in their professional, academic, and daily life experiences. Xu encouraged the alumni to pursue their studies with diligence, to maintain ties with their alma mater and homeland, and to strive for early success for contributing to the development of both.

This visit strengthened bonds and mutual trust with U.S. partner universities, marking a key stride in ZUFE's mission to implement high-caliber international education collaboration plans. It holds great significance for ZUFE to improve the quality and effectiveness of its international cooperation endeavors, thereby enhancing and expanding ZUFE's global network.
