Vice President Zheng Yali introduced ZUFE’s international education initiatives and expressed her recognition of the achievements in talent cultivation and faculty exchange under the joint undergraduate education program in Marketing between the two universities in recent years. She recalled that during the San Francisco meeting between Chinese and US presidents, President Xi Jinping proposed to invite 50,000 American youth to study in China over the next five years, promoting exchanges between the younger generations of the two countries. ZUFE is willing to work with the University of Toledo to invite American young students to study Chinese courses, learn about Chinese culture, make Chinese friends, personally experiencing the charm of Zhejiang Province.

Gary Ingham expressed that the two universities enjoy a solid cooperative foundation and have achieved remarkable successes in talent cultivation. He stated that the university is willing to continue expanding pragmatic collaboration in teaching and academic research and encourage more two-way exchanges between Chinese and American students.

Since 2013, ZUFE has jointly launched an undergraduate program in Marketing with the University of Toledo, cultivating international talents in marketing and professional sales. Since the launch of the program, nearly 20 faculty members and more than 100 students from the School of Management have been selected to visit and study abroad at the partner universities in the United States. Through this initiative, ZUFE has cultivated and delivered more than 600 international marketing talents to society. Notably, over one-third of the program’s graduates have been admitted to renowned universities both domestically and internationally for further study, including Columbia University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Zhejiang University.
