A delegation from Bangor University, UK, visited ZUFE on May 8. Vice President Zheng Yali met with Professor Bruce Vane-Stone, dean of the Bangor University Business School, and Ms. Debbie Gillilan, director of Transnational Education Center. The heads of the International Office and School of Finance also participated in the meeting.

Vice President Zheng Yali extended a warm welcome to the delegation and introduced the recent developments of ZUFE. She stated that in recent years, the joint undergraduate program in finance established by the two institutions has achieved remarkable results in talent cultivation and discipline development. Zheng expressed the hope that both sides would further consolidate their collaboration, expand partnerships in disciplines such as Data Science and Computer Science, and jointly establish a Sino-foreign cooperative education institution. On behalf of ZUFE, Zheng formally invited Bangor University’s leadership to visit in November 2025 for ZUFE’s 50th anniversary celebrations, promoting the cooperative relationship between the two universities to a new level.
Professor Bruce Vane-Stone introduced the history and disciplinary advantages of the Bangor University Business School and expressed his willingness to actively promote deep cooperation between the two universities in student exchange, cooperative education, and joint academic research.
During the visit, the Bangor University delegation held profound discussions with the heads of ZUFE’s School of Finance on the talent cultivation program, curriculum design, and faculty allocation for the undergraduate cooperative education program in finance. They also held discussions with representatives of the program’s faculty and students and visited the Securities Research and Training Center and the History Museum of the Financial Association.
