Recently, Stanford University and Elsevier Data Repository jointly released the seventh edition of the “World’s Top 2% Scientists List 2024”. Five scholars of ZUFE, including Wang Zhengxin, Wang Zhoujing, Ding Song, Liu Weishu, and Lin Jian, were selected for the “Career-Long”, and 12 scholars, including Liu Weishu, Ding Song, Wang Zhengxin, Yang Shuiqing, Yang Xue, Lin Jian, Wang Zhoujing, Deng Xiaojun, Zhang Shuai, Zhang Wenyu, Wu Shushu, and Peng Juanjuan, were selected for the “Single-Year Impact”.

Career-Long

Single-Year Impact

The list is based on the citation data system analysis of the Scopus database, with six comprehensive indicators such as the number of citations, H index, and HM factor. It selects the top 2% of scientists in the world from nearly 7 million scientists based on “career influence” and “annual influence”, divided into 22 fields and 174 subfields. It strives to provide a measure of scientists’ long-term academic performance, with a view to reflecting the academic influence of scholars more objectively and realistically.

The number of scholars from ZUFE selected for this list has been steadily increasing compared to last year, which not only underscores the exceptional international impact of the scholars but also reflects ZUFE’s significant progress in building a high-caliber talent team over the past few years. This achievement has played a vital role in advancing the continuous development of ZUFE’s academic research and enhancing its global influence.
