On June 20, the Ministry of Finance announced the list of advisory experts for the 4th Government Accounting Standards Committee. Professor Li Zongyan, Vice Dean of the School of Accounting at ZUFE, was named for the panel.
Professor Li’s research focuses on accounting standards for business enterprises, government accounting standards and systems, and government auditing. He has presided over multiple research projects supported by the National Social Science Fund, major and key projects at the provincial and ministerial levels, and humanities and social science projects sponsored by the Ministry of Education. He has published extensively in core journals such as Accounting Research, Auditing Research and Public Finance Research. Having extensive hands-on experience in accounting and auditing standards development and system building, Professor Li has served as the lead auditor for multiple audit projects commissioned by international organizations. He has also provided advisory services to the National Audit Office and the Ministry of Finance on the development of accounting and auditing standards and systems building. His research reports and policy proposals on the development of accounting and auditing systems building have been adopted by national ministries and commissions on multiple occasions.
