The University Signs Cooperation Agreement with Queen Mary University of London (QMUL)

On September 25, Vice President Zheng Yali met with a delegation from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), who visited the university for the signing of a cooperation agreement.

Zheng Yali extended a warm welcome to the visiting guests and reviewed the cooperation between the two universities. She pointed out that since the two universities established a cooperative relationship in 2024, they have achieved practical results in student summer programs, joint training, faculty exchanges and other areas. She expressed the hope that this signing would serve as a starting point to further expand talent cultivation programs in Economics, Finance and other fields, and enhance the quality of international talent cultivation.

Alp Atakan, Dean of the School of Economics and Finance at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), said that the university would continue to promote cooperation between the two sides in joint training, youth exchanges and other areas, so as to facilitate resource sharing and mutual learning among civilizations.

Fu Wenlin, Dean of the School of Public Finance and Taxation of our university, and Alp Atakan signed the “3+M” Applied Economics Master’s Joint Training Program agreement on behalf of their respective universities. Representatives from the International Office, School of Finance, Yingyang College, School of Economics and School of Data Sciences attended the signing ceremony.

Founded in 1785, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) is a member of the Russell Group and University of London, as well as a world-renowned public research university, ranking 110th globally in the QS World University Rankings. According to the cooperation agreement, our university and Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) will jointly establish 3+M Joint Training Program, 4+1 Joint Training Program and 1+1+1 Joint Training Programs to select outstanding undergraduate and graduate students from relevant schools to study in the UK for master’s degrees in Economics, Finance, Financial Technology and other fields, jointly cultivating outstanding applied economics talents with a global vision and international competitiveness.
