Recently, the fourth International Forum for Young Scholars (IFYS) was held at ZUFE. More than 70 outstanding young scholars from well-known universities at home and abroad attended the forum online. Zhong Xiaomin, Deputy Secretary of ZUFE’s Party Committee and President of ZUFE, Dong Jincai, Member of ZUFE’s Party Committee and Vice President of ZUFE, relevant functional departments and heads of schools attended the opening ceremony. The event was presided over by Dong Jincai.

Zhong Xiaomin introduced the basic situation of ZUFE and stated that the university had held the IFYS for four consecutive years to attract, gather, and recruit talent with a wider global vision. ZUFE will always stay committed to the principle of gathering talent for its cause and attracting the best minds to tap their potentials. It also adheres to the approach of developing talent meticulously in the process of development. It maintains sincerity and love for talent, emphasizing the combination of strict management and great kindness. In addition, it persists in improving service to retain talent and providing resources and guarantees for their work and entrepreneurship.

At the opening ceremony, heads of Academic Disciplinary Departments, Research Departments, and the Office of Human Resources introduced ZUFE’s academic discipline development, scientific research system, and talent policies, respectively. At the main forum, Professor Fu Wenlin, who was selected for the Ministry of Education’s “New Century Excellent Talents Support Program,” presented a special report. Professor Wang Zhengxin, the young top-notch talent in scientific and technological innovation of “Zhejiang Special Support Plan for High-Level Talents,” and Associate Professor Chen Chongyang, who was chosen for Zhejiang’s “University Leading Talents Training Program,” delivered special reports.

This year, there were 13 sub-forums in which attendees engaged in academic discussions and exchange on key disciplines and hot research fields.

The IFYS aims to build a platform for academic sharing and achievement display for young talents at home and abroad. It promotes exchange and cooperation in different disciplines, attracts outstanding young scholars all over the world to ZUFE, and provides human resources for the building of a first-class university of finance and economics with distinctive characteristics through special reports, academic seminars and talent negotiations.
