The swirling of snowflakes signal auspicious tidings, while the brushstrokes in calligraphy and painting conveys people's affectionate greetings for the approaching Spring Festival. On February 7, Li Jinchang, Secretary of the CPC Committee of ZUFE, graced the Wenhua School. He engaged in the time-honored customs of penning Spring Festival couplets and drawing traditional Chinese paintings with international students, collectively ushering in the Lunar New Year festivities. He was accompanied by Zheng Yali, Vice President of ZUFE.

As bitter winds howled outside, the indoors were enveloped in a cozy ambiance. Li Jinchang, filled with zest, inscribed the character "Fu" which symbolizes good fortune, and crafted elegant couplets with every sweep of his brush, imparting the distinctive charm of Chinese culture and expressing optimistic wishes for the upcoming lunar year. With economical yet expressive brushwork, he depicted plum blossoms bravely blooming amidst the frost, delicate orchids unfolding quietly, and bamboo reaching towards the sky. Each stroke was imbued with the ethereal beauty of ink-wash painting, earning appreciative gasps from the enthralled international students witnessing the artistry unfold. Inspired, they also took to paper and brush, carefully forming each character and line, to craft their own couplets and attempt ink-wash paintings. Li Jinchang offered meticulous guidance individually, interspersed with exchanges and demonstrations, fostering an environment of shared learning.

The hall of Wenhua School echoed with mirth as students and faculty chorused in unison, "Xin Chun Yu Kuai! Happy Chinese New Year!"

During the winter vacation, over 170 international students remained on campus. In response, the university expressed solicitude for these students, offering round-the-clock support, and organized a variety of activities such as dumpling-making for the New Year's Eve dinner, an essay competition entitled "My Chinese New Year", and a short video contest themed "Understanding Zhejiang". All these are designed to ensure a secure, warm, and culturally immersive celebration of the Chinese New Year for these overseas learners.
