Filled with the inviting aroma of the New Year's Eve reunion dinner, the Xueshu Canteen resonated with laughter and cheer. On February 9, Wei Jiang, Vice Secretary of the CPC Committee of ZUFE and Vice President of ZUFE (leading executive work), accompanied by Sun Xudong, a member of the CPC Committee of ZUFE and Secretary of the CPC Commission for Discipline Inspection of ZUFE, gathered around the table with on-campus students, as well as front-line staff from Center of Logistics Services and Office of Campus Security, to partake in a convivial reunion dinner. The leaders indulged in the traditions of making dumplings, wrapping spring rolls, and pasting window decorations with students and workers, providing cares to make them feel at home.
Wei Jiang, on behalf of ZUFE, extended New Year greetings to the students and faculty members who remained on campus during the Spring Festival. He remarked that in retrospect, the university excelled across all domains in 2023, thanks to the tireless efforts of all the faculty, staff, and students. Wei encouraged students to capitalize on the vacation for self-enhancement, but advocated a balance between work and leisure while staying connected with their families. He also expressed his hope that international students would integrate more swiftly and deeply into the ZUFE family, serving as bridges of cultural exchange between China and the rest of the world. He urged all to persistently contribute to the realization of the "New Finance and Economics Strategy" in the approaching year.
Additionally, Wei Jiang and his entourage paid a visit to the Ziyuan Residential Complex, extending New Year felicitations and distributing thoughtful care packages to every staff member diligently manning the front lines.
These heartfelt messages, uplifting words, and genuine sentiment imbued those on campus with a profound sense of warmth and motivation. Many voiced that wherever there is love, there is home, and unity of hearts signifies reunion. They resolved not to disappoint the university's aspirations, pledging to cherish their youth and forge ahead in executing the "New Finance and Economics Strategy". Indeed, they expected to work hand in hand, to establish a distinctive high-level university of finance and economics.
Leaders from administrative departments, including the Office of CPC Affairs & Office of the President, Party Committee's General Affairs Department, Office of Human Resources, Office of Campus Security, Graduate School and Center of Logistics Services, were in attendance during the visit.
