On December 12, the Zheli Meili Circle International Communication Talents Symposium and Launch Ceremony of Zhejiang Women’s English Website, hosted by Zhejiang Women’s Federation, was held in Hangzhou. Two international students of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics were invited to attend the event, deliver sharing speeches, and were appointed as International Communication Promoters of Zheli Meili Circle.

At the event, Anna, a Russian international student of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, delivered a speech centering on the spirits of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Party Central Committee and the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women. Focused on “Telling the Stories of Zhejiang Women”, she drew on her real-life study and living experiences in Zhejiang to exchange views covering topic selection for the English website of Zhejiang women, overseas communication adaption and optimization of interactive experience.

The two international students of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics were also presented with appointment certificates as International Communication Promoters of Zheli Meili Circle. They are encouraged to leverage the newly launched English website of Zhejiang Women’s Federation to act as two-way communicators and facilitators, tell Zhejiang’s stories to the rest of the world and serve as goodwill envoys for exchanges between China and foreign countries.

In recent years, Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics has strived to cultivate international talents who have a deep knowledge of China, bear goodwill toward China and connect China and the world. Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics encourages its international students to explore Zhejiang in depth, gain an in-depth understanding of Zhejiang, and take an active part in cultural exchange and communication activities. That two of its international students were invited to participate in building a provincial international communication platform and share their insights fully demonstrates Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics’s fruitful outcomes in international talent training and telling Zhejiang stories. Going forward, we will keep building more platforms and expanding relevant channels to help more international students grow into witnesses and narrators of Zhejiang’s development and cross-cultural exchanges.
