On December 9, the award ceremony of the 2025 Picturesque Zhejiang  Storytelling Event of Foreigners was held in Hangzhou. Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics (ZUFE) was honored with the title of Best Organization Unit. LINN WINNIE LINN, an undergraduate student from Myanmar, and KRAINOV DANIIL, a master’s student from Russia, won the awards for Most Charming Piece and Most Resonant Piece respectively in recognition of their outstanding performances. KRAINOV DANIIL was also named an ‘Hi Travel’ Overseas Promoter.

The 2025 Picturesque Zhejiang Storytelling Event of Foreigners was hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism. Centered on storytelling as a vehicle for emotional and cultural exchange, the event highlighted the deep integration of culture and tourism as well as the mutual empowerment of technology and the humanities. Through the personal experiences and creative expressions of international participants, the event aimed to present to the world a real, multidimensional, and innovation-driven Zhejiang. Through initiatives such as the “Understanding Zhejiang” Program and short-video competitions, ZUFE has carried out diversified and distinctive national conditions education, cultivating a group of outstanding international students who have a deep knowledge of China and are friendly to China, and are capable of telling China’s stories well.

In recent years, ZUFE has continuously strengthened its internationalized education and people-to-people and cultural exchanges, actively encouraging international students to experience the cultural charm of Zhejiang and share China’s stories with the world. These awards not only demonstrate the excellent cultural adaptability and creative abilities of ZUFE’s international students, but also reflect the positive achievements the university has made in international student education and cultural communication.
