The School of Accounting is the largest training base for accounting professionals in Zhejiang Province, and is reputed as the "cradle of accountants" and "fertile ground for financiers. The school offers 4 undergraduate programs, namely, Accounting, Financial Management, Auditing, Asset Evaluation, and 4 postgraduate programs, namely, Accounting, Accounting Major, Auditing, and Asset Evaluation. Besides, the school also provides Joint PhD programs with Zhongnan University of Economics and Law and University of Nottingham Ningbo China.
The school now has more than 3,200 undergraduates as well as graduates, and the faculty team consists of 100 members (78 full-time faculty teachers), including 18 professors, 28 associate professors, 57 doctors, and 11 doctoral supervisors. The school is committed to cultivating "international, complex, innovative and entrepreneurial" accounting talents with high quality, creating the quality classes for international accounting talents such as Chinese-Canadian double bachelor of accounting, ACCA and CIMA. It is rated as a platinum educational institution by ACCA and certified by the CPA Australia and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Accounting and Financial Management are first-class national construction programs. Accounting of the school belongs to the first batch of Class A disciplines in Zhejiang Province and is also an important supporting discipline of the first-level key discipline of "Business Administration" in Zhejiang Province. The school has yielded outstanding fruits in many fields like accounting and finance, corporate governance, auditing and internal control. In the recent five years, the school has undertaken 60 odd projects at national, provincial and ministerial level, publishing hundreds of papers in top academic journals at home and abroad, such asEconomic Research,Management World,Accounting Research,Financial Research, etc., and more than 50 monographs. What's more, it has won more than 10 awards, including the outstanding achievement award of philosophy and social science of Zhejiang Province and the humanities and social science award of universities.
A large number of undergraduates have been admitted to graduate schools at home and abroad, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Columbia University, Johns Hopkins University, University of Toronto, and London School of Economics and Political Science. The alumni cluster in the coastal areas of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, and they canalso beseen working all over China, Europe and the United States, obtaining outstanding achievements in the academic and practice community.
