On November 16, the unveiling ceremony of Wenhua College and the appointment ceremony of entrepreneurial advisors for international students were held on the Xiasha campus. Vice President Zhanrong Li, Director of the Publicity Department Danqun Lou, Chairman of the Hangzhou Entrepreneurship Assistance Foundation Weigang Wang, National Entrepreneurship Advisor Mingming Zhu, Chief Executive Officers of many listed companies, heads of relevant departments, and representatives of teachers and students, were present at the ceremony.
Mr. Li pointed out in his speech that international students' education is not only a professional task but also a carrier of the mission of cultural exchanges. The establishment of Wenhua College is a good attempt to realize the characteristic cultivation of international students with "culture + profession". By building the Chinese Culture Experience Center and combining it with Chinese traditional culture courses, lecture series, and learning practice, international students can experience the charm of Chinese traditional culture and enhance their sense of identification with Chinese traditional culture while learning Chinese. It's expected that the School of International Education & Studies, working together with Wenhua College, will do a solid job in building the culture brand of international students and actively explore new modes and methods of international student cultivation.
The leaders and guests jointly inaugurated the Wenhua College and issued appointment letters to the international students' entrepreneurial practice advisors from inside and outside the university.
After the inauguration ceremony, the international students also showed the results of their Chinese culture course learning and expressed their love for Chinese culture.
