Time:November 17, 2020  clicks:

On November 13, ZUFE held a meeting to study and deploy the internationalization of education. Vice President Zhanrong Li attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Heads of schools, research institutes and related functional departments attended the meeting.

Mr. Li pointed out that since the beginning of this year, due to the impact of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, ZUFE's international exchange and cooperation are facing major challenges and shocks. In the internationalization of education in the post-epidemic era, the university should overcome difficulties and take innovative measures to carry out higher-level international cooperation in multiple fields, thus continuously promoting ZUFE's opening to the outside world.

Mr. Li emphasized that the bid for non-independent Sino-foreign educational institutions is an important goal of ZUFE's internationalization. Schools and research institutes are the frontiers of the university's research and teaching and the main bodies of international exchanges and cooperation. Without their active participation, it is difficult for the university to achieve leap-forward development in internationalization. It is necessary to enhance the sense of urgency, crisis and competitiveness. With majors like Applied Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Logistics Management, as well as Law promoting social and economic development and giving full play to the synergy effect of the economic and management disciplines of ZUFE, the university is actively applying for Sino-foreign educational institutions. It is necessary to promote ZUFE’s international visibility and recognition, improve the English websites, and actively participate in international rankings.

The person in charge of the International Division and the School of International Education & Studies introduced the status quo of ZUFE's internationalization, the progress of cooperative education, the enrollment and cultivation of international students, and the plan of the next step.
