On September 7, Abean Silikefuna, director of the Almaty branch of Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies (KAZISS), and her delegation visited ZUFE. Vice President Zhanrong Li had a cordial meeting with the visitors.

Mr. Li welcomed the guests and briefly introduced ZUFE's achievements in talent cultivation, international exchanges, and cooperation in recent years. He said that Kazakhstan is an important country along The Belt and Road Initiative. China-Kazakhstan cooperation in humanities and education has broad prospects and a promising future. In order to respond to The Belt and Road Initiative and integrate research and educational resources, ZUFE established the Kazakhstan Economic and Social Research Center (KESRC) in 2018 with a desire to enhance academic exchanges and expand research cooperation with KAZISS in the future.

Silikefuna expressed her gratitude for the warm reception of the university and briefly introduced the basic situation of KAZISS, hoping to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in academic research and other areas to achieve complementary advantages and win-win cooperation.

During the visit, Silikefuna and her delegation also visited the School of International Education & Studies and KESRC of ZUFE.

The heads of the International Office and School of International Education & Studies attended the meeting.
