Recently, ZUFE held the second summer camp program on “Digital Future and Big Data Era” jointly with Loughborough University in the UK. 22 students and teachers of the School of Information Management and Engineering, School of Data Sciences, School of Finance, and School of Accounting at ZUFE visited Loughborough University during the 16-day summer camp.
Professors and Doctors such as Kondoz, Ekmekcioglu and Dogan of the School of Digital Technology at Loughborough University’s London Campus presented 10 more exciting lectures to students and teachers of ZUFE, covering various IT hot issues, including but not limited to IT development, video and audio processing, self-driving technology, cloud computing, Internet of Things, and big data privacy protection. Senior executives of world leading chip companies, such as the technical director of Advanced RISC Machines (ARM) and CEO of Optimity Network Services (UK), were invited to introduce IT industry development and demonstrate self-driving cars, audio directed playing systems, and other advanced research results.
The delegation of ZUFE also visited the headquarters of Loughborough University and gained a comprehensive understanding of its history, culture, facilities, teaching, and scientific research strengths, etc. They also spent their spare time visiting famous British universities such as the University of Cambridge and University of Oxford, as well as famous cultural venues like the National Gallery, the British Museum, and Royal Observatory Greenwich.
The "Digital Future and Big Data Era" summer camp is one of the main projects of the cooperation between Loughborough University and ZUFE. Through study and exchange, the students and teachers of ZUFE experienced British higher education in depth and learned the latest technology and industry applications in the intelligent era. The exchanges with professors and business executives further broadened the international perspective of ZUFE’s students, enhanced their understanding of British education and culture, and improved the international level of talents.
