Recently, a piece of good news came from the School of Accounting of ZUFE: Jun Qiu, a 2012 graduate who is studying for her J.D. in the United States, was named one of the Top 20 Law School Students of the Year in the United States by National Jurist, an authoritative magazine of the American legal community. She was the first Chinese student to receive the award in its history.
Since 2016,National Jurist has honored the 'Law Student of the Year' to outstanding students with unparalleled attitudes who contributed the most to their law schools and communities among the nearly 100,000 third-year students at more than 200 law schools across the United States. Late last year, the magazine again solicited nominations from major law schools in the US, with each school nominating one student.
Chinese student Jun Qiu was nominated by her principal to represent the school in the selection, after being recognized by her teachers and peers for her outstanding performance both inside and outside of school. In the end, she stood out from many candidates and was honored as a 'Law Student of the Year'.
