Recently, winners of the 7th China Calligraphy Lanting Awards were announced. The monograph The Analysis of the Zhangcaoshu in Beijing-Tianjin Area through the Mid-period of the Republic of China by teacher Guoxia Yuan from the College of Art of ZUFE attained success in this Award (theoretical research interest).
The Chinese Calligraphy Lanting Award is the top award and highest honor for Chinese calligraphy nationwide, approved by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and sponsored by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC) and China Calligraphers Association. Since its establishment in 2001, the award has been given every three years for a total seven times so far.
A total of 69 award-winning and selected authors were listed for the awards in theoretical research on calligraphy and calligraphic creation, including 15 for theoretical research interest in calligraphy.
