47 Courses From ZUFE Launched on Smart Education of China Higher Education

Recently, a learning platform called Lessons on Smart Education of China Higher Education came online. 47 courses from ZUFE were deemed qualified to show on the platform, which is open to the public worldwide. The number of courses ranks top among all provincial colleges and universities.

As part of the project put forward by the Ministry of Education where digital strategy is adopted to drive more future plans, Smart Education of China Higher Education stands for great success in the initial stage. It not only has the largest curriculum scale and most comprehensive categories, but also covers courses given by superior teachers from top universities both at home and abroad. Therefore, it is the perfect platform offering teachers, students and learners outside the campus quick and efficient access to national resources. The platform intends to launch 50,000 courses from 1800 universities and colleges by stages. In the first stage, there are 20,000 courses covering 92 majors and 13 disciplines.

Since the online courses started to gain momentum in 2016, ZUFE has been committed to deepening the reform of classroom teaching, promoting online teaching, and realizing online and offline integration. We develop “first-class courses” in accordance with the standard of “making it high order, innovative, and challenging” and strain every nerve to foster curriculum system covering first-class courses at the university, provincial, and national levels. So far, ZUFE offers 117 online courses, seven first-class national courses and 146 first-class provincial courses, the number of which ranks top among all provincial colleges and universities.

ZUFE will take advantage of this platform and implement the digital transformation of education as a way of upholding the strategy of “new finance and economics.” With digitalization as a strong drive, we will conduct teaching reform by developing, applying, and monitoring online courses, integrating technology with education. It aims to push undergraduate education to a new level.
