Recently, as the finals of the China International College Students' Innovation Competition (2023) concluded, ZUFE achieved notable success, securing two silver awards, one bronze award, and one finalist award.

In this competition, four projects from ZUFE were shortlisted, with two advancing to the national finals. Specifically, two projects from the School of Arts—The Digital Cheongsam Design and R&D Service Provider Providing Sales of Goods and Designs and The Comprehensive Link Incubation Service Provider of Trendy Apparel Industry—reached the finals and respectively earned silver awards in the startup group and growth group of the main track.

Attaching great importance to competition organization and project cultivation, the university implemented reward methods for high-level mass entrepreneurship and innovation competitions, thus forming a pyramid system for developing mass entrepreneurship and innovation competitions that nurture individuals with a "daring and innovative" spirit. ZUFE's efforts attracted 5,570 contestants and included over ten publicity lectures and dozens of rounds of training with a total attendance of 12,580 person-times. In the provincial competition, the university gained one provincial gold medal and three silver medals, with the gold medal project being shortlisted for the public defense of the qualification competition for the first time. Additionally, it received the Excellent Organization Award and the University Collective Award.

China International University Students' Innovation Competition (2023) was organized by Tianjin University and hosted by the Ministry of Education and other 11 departments in conjunction with the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government. A total of 4.21 million projects and 17.09 million people from 5,296 schools in 151 countries and regions at home and abroad signed up for the event.
