An Education Exchange Delegation from Belt and Road Countries visited ZUFE on April 24. Sixteen secondary school presidents and heads of educational institutions from six countries along the Belt and Road, including Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, and Algeria, came to the university for exchanges. Zheng Yali, Vice President of ZUFE, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests. Heads of relevant functional departments and schools also participated in the exchange.
Zheng highlighted that the Belt and Road Initiative proposed to enhance policy coordination, infrastructure connectivity, trade facilitation, financial integration, and people-to-people bonds, while educational and cultural cooperation is important bridges to promote people-to-people bonds. It is anticipated that this exchange will inspire young people from various countries to pursue their studies at ZUFE, thereby advancing education cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and fostering a community with a shared future for mankind.
During the exchange, ZUFE School of International Education and Studies signed a cooperation agreement on enrollment base with Mongolia Nalaikh Institute of Technology and Trinity High School of Indonesia. During the visit, the delegation visited the economic and management experimental center, the ZUFE's Library of Nobel Prize Collections in Economics, the Library of Sun Yefang Economics Science Prize, smart classrooms, and other campus facilities, as well as our collaborative partners such as Hikvision, Baijiahui Group, and the China National Silk Museum.
This exchange is an innovative initiative for the university to change the way of enrolling international students, aiming to tell the story of ZUFE in implementing the "New Finance and Economics Strategy", to promote the opening up of education to the outside world by inviting the educational institutions from the "Belt and Road" countries, and to recruit and cultivate more international talents who know China, love China and are friendly to China.
