On April 25, Vice President Zheng Yali met with the delegation from the Thai Ministry of Education, represented by Ms. Sumida Thongsam, director of the Educational Standards Promotion Bureau and representative of the Secretary-General of the Thai Ministry of Education’s Private Education Commission (PEC). The heads of relevant functional departments and colleges also participated in the event.

Vice President Zheng Yali delivered a welcome speech and introduced ZUFE’s achievements of the “New Finance and Economics” strategy, which promotes interdisciplinary development, integrated talent cultivation, and international exchange and cooperation. She expressed that “China and Thailand are as close as family,” and ZUFE will actively participate in the educational cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, strengthening collaboration with Thai universities in talent cultivation, scientific research, and cultural exchanges.
Ms. Sumida Thongsam expressed her gratitude for the warm reception and stated that there are great potential for educational cooperation between universities in Zhejiang Province and Thailand. She looks forward to more collaboration between universities of the two countries. Professor Hai Yang, dean of the Thailand Institute of Progress, delivered a speech on Chinese education and cultural exchanges in Thailand.

During the visit, the delegation toured ZUFE’s facilities including “Two Awards Literature Hall,” Economic Management Experiment Center, and Smart Classroom.

This event aims to promote exchanges and cooperation between ZUFE and the Thai education sector, contributing to the development of a new ecological system. It seeks to tell the “ZUFE stories” to the world, spread the “Zhejiang voice”, and cultivate more outstanding international talents in finance and economics.
