From November 26 to 30, hosted by the China Student Sports Federation, the 23th China University Swimming Championships (Finals) was held in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province. ZUFE’s swimming team once again shone on the stage with an outstanding performance, claiming 8 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals while breaking 5 records. They secured the Group A team championship for the third consecutive time, achieving a three-peat record, and were also honored with the PE Morality Award.
Under the guidance of Coach Shi Haoran, ZUFE’s swimmers faced numerous challenges, turning pressure into motivation to engage in the competition. They achieved remarkable results, winning 8 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze medals, along with 5 fourths, 1 fifth, 2 sixths, 3 sevenths and 3 eighths. They also set 5 new records, and secured the top spot in the overall and the women’s team in Group A, while claiming the seventh in the men’s team. ZUFE’s team not only demonstrated sportsmanship, but also reflected the outstanding character of ZUFE students, bringing honor to ZUFE.
This championship drew a record-breaking 1470 swimmers and coaches from 150 universities, including Tsinghua University, Peking University, Beijing University of Technology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Fudan University and Nanjing University. ZUFE sent 18 athletes to participate in the championship .
