On December 3, ZUFE held the unveiling ceremony of “Hehe Family (Harmony Family)”, a multicultural hub fostering exchanges between Chinese and international students. Vice President Zheng Yali attended the event alongside representatives from related functional departments including the Office of Student Affairs, the Office of Campus Security, ZUFE Youth League Committee and International Office. Heads of all schools and representatives of Chinese and international students were also present at the ceremony.

Zheng Yali highlighted that the launch of the “Hehe Family” marks a significant step in advancing both the “New Finance and Economics Strategy” and internationalized education as its mission. She called on departments to leverage the “Hehe Family” as a platform to host diverse cross-cultural activities, fostering an environment of “interaction, integration, and mutual learning” among Chinese and international students. Zheng also voiced her expectation for the “Hehe Family” to become a new flagship brand for cross-cultural interaction at ZUFE.

The “Hehe Family” is a flagship facility of ZUFE’s “one-stop” student community, located in Dormitory 24 (international students), Taoli Complex. Meeting the diverse needs of students, the former ground-level parking lot has been transformed into a 275-square-meter multi-functional space, offering areas for socializing, sports, entertainment, and study. Moving forward, School of International Education and Studies and the Office of Student Affairs will enhance the “Hehe Family” as a hub for cross-cultural exchange by launching signature activities including “Understanding Zhejiang,” “Viewing the World from ZUFE,” and “Understanding Contemporary China.” The aim is to make the “Hehe Family” a warm, enriching, and globally-oriented center for Sino-foreign cultural exchange, fostering harmony and cooperation in ZUFE.
