The Year of the Snake draws to a close and the Year of the Horse approaches. On February 15, on the eve of the Chinese New Year (Bingwu Year), Chen Yantai, Vice Chairman of the University Council and President of ZUFE, and Cheng Shuang, Vice Secretary of the CPC Committee, visited frontline staff and students to extend visits and convey regards to faculty and staff on duty and students on campus. They gathered joyfully with everyone, chatted about daily life, shared a reunion dinner together, and extended Spring Festival greetings and best wishes to all.

“In traditional Chinese culture, the horse symbolizes speed, strength, and an uplifting spirit. Here, I would like to send festive wishes for the Spring Festival to all of you, along with our best wishes to your families. I wish you all good luck and success in the Year of the Horse!” At the Xueshu Canteen, President Chen Yantai, on behalf of ZUFE, expressed his appreciation and New Year wishes to the students, faculty, and staff staying on campus during the Spring Festival. He noted that in 2025, the university made steady progress in building itself into a highlevel university, achieving remarkable results across various undertakings. These accomplishments are attributed to the joint efforts and dedicated endeavors of the entire university community. He expressed his hope that in the new year, everyone will continue to take practical actions and make further contributions to the development of a high-level university.

He pointed out that during the time of family reunions, thanks to all staff who remained on duty and stuck quietly to their posts in security, catering and property management, ZUFE has become a big family filled with care and warmth. On behalf of the university, he extended heartfelt thanks for their hard work. He encouraged students to make good use of the holiday to improve themselves, maintain close contact with their families, and enhance their safety awareness. He also encouraged international students to study Chinese and professional knowledge diligently, and to become ambassadors of friendly exchanges between China and their countries.

It is reported that a total of 626 students stayed on campus this year for internships or research tasks within their academic plans. Relevant administrative departments, in coordination with all schools, have worked together to ensure the education, management, and services for the students staying on campus, so that they can enjoy a safe, happy, and harmonious holiday.

Heads of relevant departments, including the University Office, Security Department, University Trade Union, Alumni Affairs Office, School of International Education and Studies, and Logistics Service Center, accompanied the university leaders during the visit.
