On April 10, the unveiling ceremony of “Demonstration Base for Industry-Education Integration and Collaborative Cultivation of International Talents” organized by the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press, was held at Xiasha Campus. Vice President Li Zhanrong, Chang Xiaoling, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of FLTRP, Feng Tao, General Manager of FLTRP International Talent Development Center, Zhai Jiaqi, Assistant Director of the Higher Education Marketing Center and General Manager of the Central China Marketing Region, and Niu Qiwen, Director of the Integration of Industry and Education Department of the International Talent Development Center attended the signing ceremony.
Li Zhanrong warmly welcomed Chang Xiaoling and her delegation on behalf of the university and expressed gratitude for FLTRP’ s long-term support. He pointed out that integration of industry and education is an important direction for higher education reform in the new era and a key path to cultivate high-quality international talents. The joint establishment of the demonstration base and the signing of the Phase IV Supply-Demand Matching Employment and Talent Development Project are expected to have a positive impact on implementing the "New Finance and Economics Strategy", deepening integration of industry and education, and promoting high-quality collaborative education. He hoped that the construction of the demonstration base w serve as an opportunity to build a new development pattern with complementary strengths between the university and enterprises, cultivating more high-quality talents to serve regional economic development.
Chang Xiaoling introduced FLTRP’s core features of professionalism, internationalization, and digitalization. She stated that FLTRP, relying on textbook/course resources, internationally certified teacher training systems, and multilingual digital platforms, will fully support the construction of the demonstration base. Through three pathways of strengthening practical foundations through integration of industry and education, empowering innovative thinking through integration of science and education, and expanding educational dimensions through digital + internationalized dissemination, teachers’ teaching and research capabilities will be systematically enhanced, promoting students’ stepwise growth in “language proficiency—cross-cultural competence—global competence.” She expressed the expectation that both parties will leverage the base as a hub to create a new high ground for international talent cultivation that is rooted locally and oriented globally.
Both parties jointly unveiled the “Demonstration Base for Industry-Education Integration and Collaborative Cultivation of International Talents” and signed the university-enterprise cooperation agreement for the Phase IV Supply-Demand Matching Employment and Talent Development Project of the Ministry of Education.
During the meeting, Niu Qiwen delivered a special presentation on New Pathways for Cultivating Internationally-Oriented Compound Talents in Higher Education under the Background of Integration of Industry and Education. Both parties also engaged in in-depth exchanges on collaboratively building an educational ecosystem characterized by integration of industry and education, fusion of science and education, and digital empowerment.
The joint construction of the demonstration base and the signing of the supply-demand matching employment and talent development project enabl precise alignment and collaboration between university talent cultivation and enterprise needs. It will surely help build an integrated cultivation ecosystem of teaching, assessment and application, as well as integrated cultivation ecosystem, providing comprehensive support and services for the cultivation of MAQ-oriented talents in areas including educational reform, dual-capable teacher development, and multi-dimensional collaborative education.
