September 3, 2025—The School of Business Administration of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics (ZUFE) has officially received the BGA Gold Label Accreditation, confirmed by letter from the Association of MBAs & Business Graduates Association (AMBA & BGA). AMBA & BGA is recognized as one of the Three Global Business Education Accreditations, and this is the first international business accreditation received by ZUFE.

From June 25 to 27, an expert panel consisting of Professor Andrea Sianesi, former Dean of the School of Business Administration, Politecnico di Milano,; Professor Veneta Andonova-Zuleta, former Dean of the School of Business Administration, Universidad de los Andes; and Professor Wang Zhongming, Director of the Zhejiang University Global Entrepreneurship Research Center, conducted an on-site visit to ZUFE. University Party Secretary and President Professor Wei Jiang, Vice Presidents Professor Zheng Yali and Professor Dong Jincai, along with heads of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Academic Affairs Office, and Graduate School, as well as the School of Business Administration's leadership team, model program leads, and demonstration course instructors, participated in the three-day on-site visit.

Professor Wei Jiang warmly received the expert panel and introduced the university’s progress in discipline development, talent cultivation, and international cooperation under the “"New Finance and Economics Strategy"”. He highlighted the development achievements of the School of Business Administration in recent years. Professor Wei noted that the university supports the School of Business Administration in implementing internationalization, digitalization, and a sustainable development strategy, building a business school with both Chinese characteristics and international standards. He expressed hope that through this BGA accreditation, the university would align with the core concepts and guiding principles of international business education, comprehensively improve the talent cultivation quality, internationalization level, and research capabilities of the School of Business Administration, and lead Chinese management education to the world.
Professor Zheng Yali attended the on-site visit feedback session and stated that the university would take this accreditation as an opportunity to further optimize its top-level design, adhere to an internationalized education direction, promote innovation in education and teaching, and continuously improve the cultivation model, program offerings, and curriculum system. Professor Dong Zhiqing, Dean of the School of Business Administration, introduced the college’s development history, vision and goals, development strategy, governance system, discipline development, talent cultivation, faculty development, international cooperation, alumni relations, and social service achievements.

During the on-site visit, the expert panel carefully reviewed the self-assessment report and various supporting documents based on BGA international accreditation standards. They held multiple in-depth discussions with School of Business Administration leaders, MBA Program and Undergraduate Program directors, faculty representatives, student representatives, alumni representatives, and employer representatives, conducting a comprehensive assessment of the college's strategic planning, faculty strength, research capabilities, project management, student development, social impact, and internationalization level.
Since becoming an AMBA & BGA member in May 2019, the School of Business Administration has launched and implemented a detailed accreditation plan. With strong support from university leaders and relevant departments, the School of Business Administration established an International Accreditation Core Team and coordinated efforts among model program teams, demonstration course instructors, alumni, employers, and students. Following international standards for continuous improvement, the school obtained the BGA Gold Label Accreditation Direct Eligibility in 2022. To optimize the accreditation preparation, the school organized multiple Business School Capacity-Building meetings, engaged in in-depth exchanges with peer institutions both domestically and internationally, and continuously refined the data collection, data organization, and report writing for the Gold Accreditation Report (Accreditation Report). The valuable feedback provided by the experts during the on-site visit will serve as an important reference and guidance for the school’s continuous improvement of education and teaching quality and for better achieving sustainable development.
This BGA International Gold Label Accreditation is an important milestone in the university’s path toward internationalized education, marking international recognition of the quality and development potential of ZUFE’s business education. Moving forward, the School of Business Administration will strictly adhere to the principles and standards of BGA accreditation, making continuous improvements in strategic planning, faculty development, talent cultivation systems, and alumni-enterprise relations. It aims to cultivate more business management talents with a global vision, innovative spirit, and social responsibility, contributing greater strength to serving Zhejiang’s economic and social development.
