On September 8, Wei Jiang, Chairman of the University Council and President of the University, met with a visiting delegation from Singapore Management University (SMU).

Professor Wei Jiang introduced the school’s discipline construction, professional characteristics and internationalized education to the visiting guests. He said that the school is deeply implementing the “"New Finance and Economics Strategy"”, actively promoting the development of high-level universities and summit advanced discipline development, and expanding high-level exchanges and cooperation with internationally renowned universities. He expressed the hope that take this visit as an opportunity to advance practical cooperation between the two universities in fields including faculty and student exchanges, joint talent training, cooperative education and scientific research collaboration.

Professor Zhang Liandong, Dean of the School of Accountancy at Singapore Management University, gave an introduction to the school’s academic programmes, talent training initiatives and international cooperation undertakings. He expressed the willingness to expand further cooperation in areas such as teacher-student communication and joint projects.

Heads of School of Wenhua Innovation, School of Management, Graduate School and International Office attended the exchange.
