From September 14 to 17, over 300 international freshmen from more than 30 countries and regions across the globe set foot on campus one after another with aspirations and expectations for the future, ready to write their own unique Chinese stories here.

Vice President Zheng Yali visited the on-site registration venue at the School of International Education and Studies. She made detailed inquiries about the freshman reception procedures and enrollment progress, had cordial exchanges with international freshmen, and extended regards to staff members and volunteers. During her visit, she stressed that truly good education is a warm dialogue across languages and national borders. We want students with different cultural backgrounds to find a sense of belonging in ZUFE.

“Welcome to ZUFE! How are you settling into your new surroundings?” These warm greetings embody the university’s sincere expectations and thoughtful care, painting touching scenes on this orientation day. Teachers from the School of International Education and Studies and volunteer teams were on site early at the registration desks. They offered patient guidance, helped students complete registration and accommodation procedures, and delivered one‑stop, thoughtful services for students coming from afar.
In order to help international freshmen adapt to the new environment faster, not only multilingual admission guides and manuals were provided on the spot, but many “international volunteers” in red vests were also arranged, who took the initiative to help carry luggage, direct the flow of movement and answer questions. Though soaked in sweat, their faces beamed brightly, embodying the genuine warmth of ZUFE through concrete deeds.

Across mountains and seas, they gather at ZUFE; With diverse minds united, they embark on a warm journey. These young faces are infusing ZUFE’s autumn campus with fresh international flair and vitality. In the future, they are both learners and envoys of cultural exchange. They will acquire knowledge in class, broaden horizons through cross-cultural exchanges, and experience Hangzhou’s unique rhythm blending oriental charm and modern vitality amid the changing seasons of the city.
