On March 21, the 10th Forum on Reform and Development of Foreign Language Education in Colleges and Universities was held in Beijing. Relevant leaders from the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Ministry of Education, as well as more than 2,000 experts and scholars in foreign language education, educational internationalization, and educational digitalization, gathered at the forum. Over 100,000 professionals in higher foreign language education participated online via live streaming to jointly discuss strategies for the innovative development of higher foreign language education during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. At the forum, our university was awarded “Cultivation Base for International Talents in Universities” for its distinctive and fruitful educational achievements.
To implement the “"New Finance and Economics Strategy"” and advance the internationalization of education and teaching, ZUFE collaborated with Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press (FLTRP) in 2025 to build a Demonstration Base for Industry-Education Integration and Collaborative Talent Cultivation for International Talents. Adhering to the principles of “resource sharing, collaborative innovation, complementary advantages, mutual benefit and common development”, the base fully leverages ZUFE’s multi-dimensional strengths in foreign languages, finance and economics, realizes in-depth integration of theoretical teaching and practical application, and bridges the gap for students between campus and the workplace.
Going forward, the School of Foreign Languages will rely on the “Cultivation Base for International Talents in Universities” to vigorously advance in-depth development of specialty construction and industry-education integration. It will further consolidate the four major international supporting systems, covering talent training, faculty development, academic research and publicity matrix, cultivate foreign language talents with broader international vision, stronger practical ability and stronger innovative awareness, and contribute to advancing the country’s high-standard opening up and building China into a leading country in education.
