On May 14, Wang Zhengxin, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of ZUFE, met with Gulmira Bekmanova, Vice President of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in Kazakhstan.

Wang Zhengxin introduced ZUFE’s institutional history, disciplinary features and international development progress to the guests. He also reviewed the positive outcomes of bilateral cooperation in inter-university exchanges, talent cultivation and academic research. He noted that since the official establishment of the cooperative partnership in 2018, educational exchanges and cooperation between the two universities have been continuously deepened with remarkable results, making positive contributions to promoting China-Kazakhstan educational cooperation and people-to-people exchanges. He expressed the hope that the two sides would further deepen friendly cooperation and advance practical collaboration in fields such as AI-empowered education and area studies, leveraging platforms including Institute for Central Asia Studies, ZUFE and the Silk Road Institute in Kazakhstan.

Bekmanova briefed the guests on Eurasian University’s overall situation in digital education, academic research and international cooperation, and shared the latest developments in disciplines including economics, management and artificial intelligence. She stated that the university is willing to learn from China’s experience in educational development and actively promote cooperation between the two universities in areas such as faculty exchanges, student mobility and joint research.

Heads of the International Office and the School of International Education and Studies attended the meeting.
