International Symposium on Emerging Market Research2019 (ISEMR 2019) themed "Financial Innovation and New Developments in Accounting, Finance and Economics in China's Transitional Economies" was held in Hangzhou from November 2 to 3. Vice President Yongyou Li attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. More than 100 experts, scholars and representatives of teachers and students from over 10 colleges and universities across China attended the seminar.
On behalf of ZUFE, Mr. Li extended a sincere welcome to the guests, and briefly introduced the basic situation of the university and the School of Accounting in recent years. He pointed out that the seminar would certainly give a strong impetus to the exploration of frontier issues in emerging market economy, effectively promote diversified and innovative researches in the fields of accounting, finance and economics, and also further enhance exchanges and cooperation as well as friendship between them.
Professor Bin Ke from National University of Singapore, Professor Chaoyang Gu from Chinese University of Hong Kong, Professor Jungxiong Fang from Fudan University and Professor Guanmin Liao from Renmin University of China gave keynote speeches respectively. Participants made in-depth discussions and exchanges on many topics including "Financial Market Development", "Corporate Innovation and Investment", "Government Action", "Social Capital and Social Responsibility", "Capital Market Stability", "Corporate Governance and Corporate Performance", and "How to Publish Papers in Economic and Business Journals of High Quality". Three papers were selected for the best paper awards of this conference.
The success of the seminar has helped domestic and foreign experts and scholars promote the financial innovation in China’s transitional economies, as well as the exchanges and cooperation in accounting, finance and economics, which provided a good academic exchange platform for scholars. In addition, it has expanded the influence of ZUFE in the field of financial accounting.
