Inaugural Meeting of Returned Overseas Alumni Club (ROAC) Held at ZUFE

The Inaugural Meeting of ROAC was held at ZUFE (Xiasha campus) on November 2. Jinchang Li, President of the Alumni Association and the Secretary of the Party Committee, Weiren Zhang, Vice President of Zhejiang Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (ZFROC), Jianxin Huang, Vice President and Secretary General of the Alumni Association and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Professor Liying Fu, President of ZUFE Retention Association and Chairman of ZUFE Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and other distinguished guests attended the conference. Nearly 40 alumni who have studied or worked in countries and regions like the UK, the US, France, Sweden, Australia, Hong Kong and other countries attended the conference.

Jianxin Huang firstly extended his congratulations on the establishment of ROAC on behalf of ZUFE. He said that under the guidance of ZFROC, ZUFE will further promote the working model of "Local Federation of Overseas Chinese+ University Federation of Overseas Chinese + ZUFE Alumni Association", continue to deepen the interaction and communication between alumni at home and abroad and between alumni and their alma mater, continuously promote the development of ZUFE's internationalization, and build the community of shared future for alumni and alma mater, hence to make greater contributions to promoting the development of ZUFE as well as high-level opening up of Zhejiang.

Weiren Zhang expressed his appreciation with respect to what ZUFE has achieved in the continuous innovation of the work of Returned Overseas Alumni Association in recent years, and hoped that the returned alumni would share the same fate with the motherland and make solid progress in their career; keep the alma mater in mind and keep in touch with it; build a good talent pool for studying abroad, make a good think tank for advice and suggestions; and be a force for the development of the alma mater

Later, a forum on sharing and development of ROAC was held. The alumni have conducted in-depth discussions on how to better respond to the "Belt and Road" Initiative, deepen domestic and overseas market operations and enhance the ability to promote economic development and social progress.
