On October 19, the 2nd CKESRF and the inaugural meeting of "The Belt and Road" International Cooperation Union in Industry, Education and Research among National Financial and Economic Universities (hereinafter referred to as the Union) was held at the Xiasha Campus of ZUFE. Around 100 experts and scholars from the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Shanghai, Zhejiang Provincial Social Sciences Association, and nearly 40 other universities, including National Eurasian University of Kazakhstan, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Central University of Finance and Economics, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Minzu University of China, Lanzhou University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, and Northwest University together with the leaders of well-known enterprises gathered at ZUFE to discuss the theme of "China-Kazakhstan Economic and Social Cooperation: Opportunities and Challenges in the New Era".
In his speech, Vice President Zhanrong Li briefly introduced the basic situation of international education and education for international students at ZUFE. He pointed out that over the years, the university has consistently taken an open-minded approach to providing higher education, and actively implemented the "Belt and Road" initiative, which has received remarkable results in deepening friendship and cooperation between China and Kazakhstan. The establishment of the Union would not only strengthen the exchanges and cooperation among its member units and individuals, but also provide a good platform for promoting the Silk Road spirit, humanistic exchanges and international education cooperation among countries along the "Belt and Road".
Participants of the conference had a variety of exchanges and discussions from different perspectives, including political, economic, social, legal and humanistic perspectives of China and Kazakhstan, and reached a broad consensus on "The Belt and Road" international cooperation in industry, education and research. At last, they issued a joint initiative. The member units of the Union will take advantage of university-enterprise resources to realize university-enterprise resource sharing, strengthen industry-education-research cooperation, focus on the theme of union cooperation, and build an international application talent training system.
This forum was a grand event in the field of education internationalization, where Chinese and foreign guests gathered their talents to jointly discuss the university-enterprise cooperation potential in the context of the national "Belt and Road" Initiative and China-Kazakhstan exchanges, the realization of university-enterprise complementary advantages and the feasibility of integration between industry and education to contribute to the in-depth promotion of China-Kazakhstan economic and social cooperation.
